Day 1 - Flying to China, Wuhan

Yes, this is the day! The day that all of us had been looking forward to...

I reached the airport at 10am, had breakfast with my parents and they left me there alone after they saw the big group of people. =.= So, I chatted with my friend for a very long time until it was time to take a group photo.
Group photo at Singapore airport.... :)

After checking in the luggages, its time to say GOODBYE to their beloved ones. :(
Everyone was so emotional, which makes me want to cry too! :( BUT, I didn't! Yes!
My group roamed around the airport and stopped by Burger King to buy Hao Teng's food.

Flight duration from Singapore to Guangzhou was about 4 hours, I slept for a while but it was VERY VERY uncomfortable. The plane is so tinyyyy and barely has any space to walk. And the worst thing is that, they do not even have an individual TV behind the seat, no pillow, no blanket, nothing! Budget! =.= As the flight was too long and too boring, we played Monopoly deal! That includes.... Agnes, Edward, Zhen Zhao, Brenda and me. :)

(The pictures wasn't very clear and I don't know why. SO SORRY!)

We had MacDonalds for dinner at GuangZhou airport. Didn't like the McSpicy, Singapore's one is better. When we reached Wuhan, it was about 12am in the morning. Taking our luggages and clearing customs weren't that troublesome. Maybe because it is a domestic airport instead of an international airport. :)

There were buses to fetch us to the university but 1 for luggages and another for humans. Haha.
The bus was soooo small, or rather, our luggages were too big that some of the luggages had to pass through the windows instead of the front door. How pathetic! I pity the guys as they had to bring up the luggages for us. And I had to help Yu Chuan and Nicholas carry their bags. :(

OH MY GOD, I was so tired that I slept on the bus (1-hour ride). As we travelled along the expressway, I realised that their houses are very different from ours in Singapore. Ok, we reached the hostel at about 2am. I was so shocked to see the room so neat and tidy. Shiling said it will be very filthy and we had to clean it up all by ourselves =.= Thanks to the people who helped us with our room! :D

It was already 2.50am after unpacking and I was dead tired.
I shall have a good sleep tonight!
Okayyy, that's it for the first day of the trip!
Many many more coming up in the next few posts.....
Don't leave! :D

Reflection

I started to realise that I have to take care of myself from now on because my family is not with me. Though this is my 2nd overseas trip with school, I still couldn't get used to it because I'm too used to sticking with my family whenever I'm overseas. I also found out that the houses over here is terrible, not really good for staying as the roofs and walls are cracked. I feel very fortunate that I'm living in Singapore, a clean and healthy country! I have never stayed in a hostel before so I find it very weird for the first time as there were nothing much other than beds and a toilet. I hope I will get used to living here for the next 5 weeks. :)

Some photos for the day.....

♥stay tuned!
