Day 2 - Settling Down

Woke up at 9am today. I guess I slept very soundly because I totally couldn't hear Shi Ling's alarm clock and the honking of cars outside. However, I am still very tired! Had McDonald's Fillet-O-Fish burger, corn and coke for breakfast. :)

Take a look at my room after 1 day..... Before we reached the place, the room was totally empty as well as the tables. Now......

Started touring the school at 10.30am. Omg, the weather here is freaking H, HO, HOT!!!! Even worse than Singapore, seriously. All of us perspired from head to toe. >,<

Met a few of the China students today. They were all very helpful and friendly. :)
They introduced us some of the places nearby the campus, especially the SUPERMARKET! (it's just like the NTUC in Singapore HAHA) My roommates and I bought quite a number of things at 111.40RMB (THAT IS VERY CHEAP!)

Things that we bought, including a KETTLE :) Wasn't in the trolley because we need to pay for it first =.=

Lots of variety of potato chips! Myyyy Love... <3

LUNCHTIME!
I had a good meal for lunch today! :) Lunch at a restaurant. For the 1st time, first lunch is at a restaurant. WOW! I mean when travelling with school...
I had some beef set in hot pot meal just now. Though the sauce was a bit yucky, overall was still good! I like the beef! The vegetables! The fruits! <3
Oh and, the atmosphere was awesome. Romantic and a good place to take a nap. Haha.

After buying some daily necessities and having the deliciousss meal, we decided to head back to the campus because all of us were dead tired! I didn't have the energy to walk anymore and the weather is...... very not cooling. =.= I was too bored so I started moving around the hostel. At about 7pm+ , I played monopoly deal with Liang Xun, Hao Teng and Zhen Zhao. I also got to enjoy the yummy yummy bubble tea which was bought by 1 of the students here. Its really good! Thanks so much! :)

Oh yes, and I really miss my bed, my aircon, my bolster.... The aircon here is weird, suddenly hot, suddenly cold. For one moment, I was covering myself with blanket and the next moment, I'm steaming hot! =.=

That's the end of today! We just went out to get some stuffs, had our very heavy lunch and stayed in the hostel throughout. Didn't have dinner because lunch was too heavy. I really need lots of water, thirsty thirsty thirsty! I need to be healthy...... Hopefully, the temperature will go down sooon, SOOOON!

Reflection

China and Singapore is very different, be it the building, shopping places, culture, roads, whatever. Oh and, afterall, I still prefer wearing slippers than shoes. As we are not allowed to wear slippers in the campus, I have to wear shoes EVERYDAY and I really find it uncomfortable. In Singapore, I wear slippers everyday even in school. Especially when the weather is hot, and the shoes are covering up your whole leg which is the part that is unbearable. How I wish I could return to Singapore. I should really start to love and cherish every little thing in Singapore and not grumble anymore (esp. the hot weather because China is even hotter)

Some photos for the day.....

Outside the hostel... Students hanging their clothes...

Hanging blankets...

Study block. OMG, it is very far away from the hostel :(

1 of the classroom that we're going to use for this 5 weeks trip!

The canteen... NO AIRCON! :@

Things that you never see in Singapore....

My beef set....

Zhen Zhao's pizza....

I don't know what is this. Looks like some Western food to me...

Things that I bought from the supermarket this afternoon. :)

My Little Corner..... >,<

We hang our stuffs like that.... Haha, looks like some kampong place, isn't it? :)

♥stay tuned!
